About James A. Lunsford
James A. Lunsford graduated from Albany State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health and Physical Education and a Master of Education Degree in Education from Georgia College and State University. He is the Executive Director of the Baldwin Youth Association Inc., while a Georgia High School Coach he received numerous awards including: The Georgia High School Association and the Atlanta Tip-Off Basketball Booster Club Awards for winning over 530 basketball games, and the Gatorade Coaches Care Award for devotion to his players. He has written articles, lectured, worked and directed camps all over the nation. One of his articles appeared in several National Periodicals title "Every Player In Your Program Can Receive A College Scholarship". In 1987 all 10 seniors received scholarships upon graduation from high school and from 1980 to 1988 every senior in his program received a scholarship.
While coaching high school basketball, over 200 student athletes received scholarships and grants, while graduating from colleges and universities all over this nation. This is one of the many reasons that The Baldwin Youth Association, Inc. that sponsors Southern Prep Hoops has been so successful.
